Getting out of a rut

There are times we all feel that we are in a rut. There seems to be no way out of it. It is simply mind numbing experience. This is a very bad state to be in. This actually can be highly demotivating. But there are certain one can take to come out of it.
1. Try to focus on completely one thing only.
2. Clarify your dreams and values.
3. Forget about everything and spend your time outdoors.
4. Send a thank you note or call some one up. It can really help.
5. Being in a rut is mostly a matter of passionless living, so find something you enjoy most and do it.
